Last updated: 21 March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Text Editor ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using a valid email address and a password of your choosing. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are otherwise deemed inappropriate at our sole discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Store, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Infringe upon any intellectual property rights of third parties.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or any related systems.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent.

5. Intellectual Property

All content you create and store in Text Editor remains your property. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

The Text Editor application software, design, and branding are owned by the Service provider and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
